Jez presents a two hour focus on the music of Indian percussionist and fusion pioneer Zakir Hussain who died on 15 December 2024. Zakir was regarded as one of the greatest tabla players in the world who gave Indian classical music a wider global audience and was an original member of the band Skakti with guitarist British John McLaughlin and Indian violinist L. Shankar.
