Ilario Ferrari Trio – Live on One Jazz, 25th Oct.

One Jazz, in collaboration with World Heartbeat is proud to present this extraordinary trio launching their second album Above The Clouds. This concert event will be broadcast live on One Jazz from 7pm on Friday 25th October, hosted by Chris Philips.

Pianist and singer Ilario Ferrari has developed a distinctive compositional style that integrates instrumental contemporary jazz with soulful vocals and elements of his southern Italian heritage. Ilario’s style is perfectly complemented by his two well-known collaborators and rising jazz stars in their own right; drummer Katie Patterson and Charlie Pyne on double bass.

The Ilario Ferrari Trio’s idiosyncratic and fresh sound stands out, especially on their new album, which features beautiful vocal harmonies and strong musical skills.

Following their remarkable debut in 2021 at Lauderdale House, which was live streamed across Europe, the Trio immediately gained widespread acclaim. Since then, their debut album Childhood Memories has gained international praise and radio support, assisting the trio to secure a range of high profile live shows in UK and Europe.

Their live performance experience to date includes the Watford Jazz Festival, Kings Place, PizzaExpress Jazz Club, the EFG London Jazz Festival in 2023 and Jazzahead in 2024. In addition, Ilario’s duo with the world famous Cuban violinist Omar Puente has also gathered much positive attention.

Ilario’s compositions glow with emotion and humanity but also with a friendship group’s playfulness
