Mike Flynn is an award-winning music journalist and editor of the internationally acclaimed Jazzwise Magazine, the UK’s only print jazz monthly. Mike has also been jazz editor at Time Out London, a lead feature writer for the UK’s Bass Guitar Magazine and a judge on the Mercury Music Prize for eight years until 2015. He was awarded Jazz Journalist of The Year at the 2010 Parliamentary Jazz Awards and in May 2023 was made an Honorary Associate of the Royal Academy of Music for working with the RAM Jazz Big Band, bringing them to Ronnie Scott’s in a special collaboration with Grammy Award winning pianist Bill Laurance.
