Michael Gottfried and Andreas Brandis

Andreas Brandis is head of the internationally acclaimed jazz & beyond label ACT since 2015. He is also head and founder of ACT’s booking / management / live branch “The ACT Agency”. He has been (co-)producing numerous ACT albums by artists like Michael Wollny, Nils Landgren, Wolfgang Haffner, Lars Danielsson, Émile Parisien, Jan Lundgren, Joel Lyssarides and many others. Before ACT, Andreas Brandis worked in various leading positions at Universal Music, Deutsche Grammophon, ECM Records and Ferryhouse Productions and with artists like Tori Amos, Rufus Wainwright, Schiller, Max Raabe, Olafur Arnalds, Max Richter or Anne Sophie Mutter. In addition, Andreas Brandis regularly works as an educator, among others as the programme director of the Concerto21. masterclasses.

Michael Gottfried is part of the ACT team since 2003. He covers several roles: As publicist, head of communications & marketing and A&R. In these roles he has worked on more than 500 albums to this day. Both Andreas Brandis and Michael Gottfried have a professional musical education as drummers and share a mutual passion for jazz, classical and contemporary music in general.

Together they have joined One Jazz to present their show ACT & Friends.
