Spinning records for family and friends before he celebrated his eighth birthday, Michael Ambrosino has spent his life immersed in the magical world of music. In 2019 he founded 33third.org, an alternative independent platform exploring the unique creative sensibility of Jazz. As a writer, designer, researcher, programmer, producer and host of several programs, he delights in connecting disparate dots of ingenuity that are endemic to Jazz. His 2022 audio documentary Los Olvidados (The Forgotten Ones) explored the rich history, influence and discrimination Pan-Latin artists face within Jazz, and has been aired nationwide in the US and Canada. Outside of Jazz, Michael’s work and advocacy explores how technological disruption effects art, culture and society at large.
