Billzinho – aka journalist William Schomberg – had the good fortune to live and work in Brazil in the 1990s and the amazing music of the country has been stuck in his head ever since. Emerging at dawn from samba schools in Rio de Janeiro, dancing to reggae sound systems under the stars in Sao Luis de Maranhao and the energy of street carnival in Olinda – it was a very formative period!
