Renowned Australian, London-based journalist, writer and broadcaster Jane Cornwell is joining the expanding family of contributors here at One Jazz to present her own favourite contemporary jazz and cross-cultural sounds. In 2019 Jane completed a highly regarded Masters degree in Global Creative and Cultural Industries (Distinction) at SOAS, University of London. Her dissertation was on the resurgence of jazz music in London. Jane has been much read as jazz critic and world music critic for the London Evening Standard newspaper, and in her capacity as a contributing editor of Songlines magazine and feature writer for Jazzwise magazine.
Jane is a hugely respected authority in the field of jazz and world music and continues to be the one of the go-to hosts for music events, interviews, talks and lectures. We are delighted that Jane joins the conversation on One Jazz.
Jane Cornwell’s new show for One Jazz debuts at 4pm (UK) on Saturday 15 March and, as will all shows on the station, will be available to hear immediately after on our Listen Again page as well as rotated through time zones over a four week cycle.
